So, this book is written from the perspective of the author when he was a kid. He had his own father, whom he refers to as his 'Poor Dad' and his friend's dad who he refers to as his 'rich dad'. He and his friend first become interested in money when their friend won't take them on a vacation with him because he says that they are 'poor'. They both ended up being the only two kids in their public school whose parents weren't already loaded. After this incident, they asked the 'poor' dad how they can get rich. He says that they just need to make money. However, the boys took 'make' to literally. They then made an agreement and went around and asked all of their neighbors to save them their toothpaste containers. Now they are not metal, but back then they were all metal. So after the boys had collected them, they melted them all down on a barbecue and poured the molten metal into casts the shape of coins. Then, when they were done, they had 'made' money. However, when the 'poor' dad came out he dad to gently explain the concept of counterfeiting to them. Although they were disappointed they kept on trying to make money, this time with the help of the 'rich' dad. Taught the book he explains the different tips and bits of advice that the rich dad had taught him and his friend. One of which was always invest in assets and not liabilities, along with a great and simple definition of the two. Along with having your assets pool large enough to cover your liabilities of day to day life. Also, "Mind your own business" and so much more!
I really learned a ton from this book and would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to learn about money. This is also a good book to listen to on audiobook!
